Kasper Rodil is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University, Denmark. He has over a decade of experience in co-designing systems with indigenous people, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa. His most notable work has been pioneering the inclusion of indigenous communities in the co-design of virtual reality systems, and with over 70 publications ranked, Kasper specialises in Participatory Design, focusing on the infusion of indigenous knowledge in human-centric technical design projects. He leads a Human-Computer Interaction program, has experience as PI with several grants on national and EU levels, and supervises projects while fostering collaborations on various innovative topics.
Research Interest
Virtual Reality, Mobile systems, and Green energy for innovative development in tech-scarce contexts. Emphasizing Participatory Design , co-designing social robots for cognitively impaired individuals and engaging in sustainable architecture and VR projects, highlighting the power of interdisciplinarity.
