The Interactive Media Experiences (IMX)
The ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences (IMX) is the leading international conference for presentation and discussion of research into interactive media experiences. It brings together researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines, from human-computer interaction, multimedia engineering and design, to media studies, media psychology and sociology.
At the IMX Conference in Nante, France in 2023, Auala Selma and Kaulyaalalwa Peter, students at the Namibia University of Science and Technology in Namibia, presented a demo of the OvaHimba VR Game, a Cultural Heritage game using eight Ovahimba items that was developed and tested at a local primary school. The demo presentation began with a quick pitch and then attendees were able to come in and try out the demo as they pleased.
